Primary school craft projects, aren't they great?
One year, I think it was grade 3, our craft project for Mother's Day was to cross stitch a tea-towel. Yes, a tea-towel. (I don't recall anyone batting an eyelid that we were giving our mothers tea-towels as gifts.) Anyway, this is what the finished tea-towel should have looked like (thanks to my brilliant Photoshop skills):
For those of us who didn't think we had enough time or skill for that, there was this option:
This is what my mum got:
She finished it herself a few years later.
